Trip to Riverside Museum

We have been studying World War 11 this term and recently visited the Riverside Museum in Glasgow.  While there, we took part in a workshop based on World War II in which we heard speeches by Winston Churchill, studied various propaganda posters and newspaper articles from the time and got to try some of the communications equipment used at the time.

Afterwards we researched various exhibits in the museum. These included the first ship to be attacked during the war, the pilot who shot down the first plane and finally the battleship H.M.S. Hood.

The class enjoyed the experience and have been able to tell each other a lot about each aspect of their learning learning.
