Review 2015

As always we have a packed PE curriculum. In terms one and two, the children have covered fitness, ball skills and social dance. In November to December, both Primary 5 classes completed a 6 week block of swimming. The primary 6 and 7 classes have been making use of the facilities at St. Ninian's High School for all PE lessons.  So far they have been developing skills in gymnastics, trampolining and badminton. We have also been making use of the fitness suite in the High School.

This term we are covering gymnastics, the Primary 1b, 2b and 3b classes are also receiving a 10 week block of football.

In the final term we will be moving on to athletics. Primary 1a, 2a and 3a will also be covering a block of football.

Finally the whole school have been developing their fitness and running skills by competing in the 1km challenge. All children in the school walk, jog or run around the school for 5 minutes, 3 times a week, collecting dots every time they complete a lap.

At Holy Family we are committed to delivering two hours of quality PE per week.   The quality PE curriculum is challenging and progressive. It develops children both physically, emotionally and socially.  Most importantly PE is fun!
