Primary 7R

Primary 7 are looking forward to a very busy and exciting final term at Holy Family.

Our topic from May until June is World War II. Lots of our writing activities will be centred around the topic. We would love to hear from anyone who has memories or experiences from the Second World War.

In reading, the children are soon to embark on a novel study, Goodnight Mr Tom by Michelle Magorian. This will be a challenging and exciting experience for the children. Please encourage your child to read a variety of texts at home to develop their knowledge of vocabulary.

In maths, we are going to be working actively on volume and capacity and bearings and angles. Primary 7 will also have the opportunity to work with percentages, multiplication and division.

The Primary 7 has been revisiting the sacrament of Confirmation this term and on the 18th of May are celebration mass with the Arch Bishop.

June is going to be especially busy for the boys and girls of Primary 7. The children will spend three days visiting their new High School and getting to know their new teachers.

They are also going a trip to the Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre where they will participate in a day of sport and fun!
