Primary 4/5

Last term the children of P4/5 completed some wonderful pieces of work.

Each child in the class contributed effectively and with enthusiasm to our joyning the learning topic ‘The Unsinkable Ship’. We enjoyed creating our interactive and informative wall displays together and presenting them to our parents and friends on the school open evening.

We made a trip to Clydebuilt at the beginning of the topic which was a great starting point and a lot of fun.

The children are committed to working towards their personal targets outlined in their PLPs. Our new topic ‘Solids, Liquids and Gases’ involves a lot of team work and group experiments which the children are very good at. This topic entails attending an exciting science show which takes place in school hall.

The primary 5 children practised hard and sang beautifully during the school rendition of Resurrection Rock while the primary 4 children enjoying participating in the East Dunbartonshire percussion programme.

The P4 children have just completed a course in Clubgolf which is an introductory programme brought in to promote our national sport. The P5 children are at the end of their swimming lessons. All children are now beginning athletics in PE in preparation for our annual school sports day. Please ensure that your child remember to bring their kits for Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Primary 4 children have worked hard in preparing for their First Holy Communion. They have been responsible and mature in their approach to this important step in their life. Please take time to speak with your child about this event. The most important way in which you can help your child at this time is by taking them to Mass.

Please make sure that your child is prepared for school and brings their homework folder every day. It is important that your child completes the weekly achievements at the bottom of the homework diary.
